An endless odyssey: Acne Extreme Stripe Dress

When I first saw Acne's Extreme Stripe Dress, I fell in love.
I had to have this; it looked fresh and springlike and created a perfect bodyshape.
So I went hunting. My first stop was Paris. Everything Acne was pretty much sold out everywhere - Printemps only carried the tee, Lafayette only sold the tank, and so on and so on.
No dress. Then I looked through all online stores ever created, but whenever I found my dress, it was the wrong size, sold out, or the wrong colour.
When I had already given up, I found out that my-wardrobe still had a size S left: one!
Too bad that I had just lost my credit card and still waited for a new one, so I checked the store every hour like a maniac to make sure it was still there. After 3 days of waiting, it was GONE. Of course.
Desperately checking the Acne store ONE last time, I found it! Back in stock and soooo many left! I couldn't believe it. I tried to check out, but couldn't select Paypal (I still hadn't gotten my credit card), even though they ALWAYS took Paypal. I sent an eMail, their Paypal was obviously broken and they couldn't fix it.
After I had already told my boyfriend that "the world apparently didn't want me to own this particular dress", my credit card arrived.
And I hope so will the dress.

New boots

Yey, finally my new dark brown Bronx boots were delivered yesterday.
Turns out they look GREAT! As I was hoping, they are a little more forgiving on my size 40 feet
and do not look as clumsy as the Fryes I wanted to get at first.
Also I like the distressed leather better here. I think leather jacket, flowing tanks and these boots will be my uniform for the upcoming weeks :)....And: my dog likes em too :)..

After running through all of Paris to get those Wang pants (no chance), I found them on Luisa Via Roma for 117 € and free shipping today and ordered QUICK this time. What I found very confusing was, that I was going to order them on net-a-porter, but found the price quite high (140 €) compared to the price on shopbop.com (115 $). Even better was that I had put them in my net-a-porter shopping bag, where I saw that they had added 23 € for taxes and 35 € (!!!!!) for shipping! In the end, the pants cost a ridiculous 175,41 € ~~and I bought two pairs at LVR instead~~ and I once again learned to compare prices before ordering. Thanks Luisa Via Roma!

I don't know what you think about it, but for me STYLE is something that makes you stand out - positively! All over the place I see so many people who just overdo it, only to be or feel special.
But when style reaches a level where you start to look stupid, or old, or even ugly, this can't be it.
So when you dress: be a woman, be beautiful and don't hide under ridiculousness.
Emphasize your character and don't bury it under a styling overdose.
